Installing Spelling Dictionaries —

DigitalFriedChicken software is made with FileMaker pro, this allows the use of dictionaries in many languages. These dictionaries only check the spelling of text entered into the software, it doesn't change the software to that particular language. Since most of the world understands some English, many users can understand the titles, headings and navigate layouts easily, but feel more comfortable using their native language to fill-in the blanks. These dictionaries allow you to check your entries and add/learn words that are not in the Main dictionary to your own personal dictionary (User.upr).

The following instructions pertain to Store House, Restaurant Savant and CookWare Deluxe only.

To install the Main Dictionary and User Dictionary — First download the dictionary that is closest to your native language (the Main and User Dictionary of each language are packaged together). After you decompressed the file, drop the resulting folder into the "Extensions" folder inside the software folder. E.G. the "CookWare Deluxe 3.0" folder. When you run DFC software the Dictionaries will automatically work. If a problem does arise, and the Dictionary isn't working correctly, it's simply a matter of locating the Dictionaries to establish a link between the Dictionaries and the software.
(1) Locating the Main Dictionary - select the Edit menu at the top of the screen and choose Spelling then Select Dictionaries..., then locate the Main Dictionary (the file name will end with .mpr); be sure Main Dictionary is selected in the dialog pop-up.
(2) Locating the User Dictionary - select the Edit menu and choose Spelling, then Select Dictionaries..., then locate the User Dictionary (User.upr); be sure User Dictionary is selected in the dialog pop-up.
